Custom Order FAQ
What is your minimum order?
12 shirts per design but there will be some restrictions on colors and print locations. We recommend ordering at least 50 shirts for better pricing. Please view our pricing structure for more information.
How do I place an order for screen printed shirts?
All orders are handled via email. Email Jordan@rvathreads.com to begin your order. Please include your design/artwork to help us better assist you. We strive to make the process as easy as possible.
What type of inks do you use?
Our standard screen printing ink is plastisol. All of our prints are heat pressed after fully curing at 330 degrees for one minute. The heat press is an added step to make every print as smooth as possible. This also ensures maximum print durability. We also offer water based screen printing inks. These inks are great for fashion-brands looking for a vintage style t-shirt. There is an additional charge to have us print your shirts with water based inks.
Which t-shirt brand/style do you recommend I order?
We use 6.1oz Gildan Ultra Cotton t-shirts as our standard price-point t-shirt. We recommend Gildan t-shirts for events, teams, bands, schools, restaurants looking for a quality, low-price heavyweight t-shirt. If you are looking for a soft fashion-fit t-shirt we recommend Bella Canvas, Next Level or American Apparel shirts which are available in 100% cotton and cotton/polyester blends. How do I prep artwork files?
Preferred file types are .psd, .tif, .eps, .ai, .pdf, and .jpg. Designs should be sized to print at 300 DPI, or vector. If you are creating your designs in illustrator it is best to convert your text to outlines. Orders can not be started until we have usable artwork. Additional fees may apply if artwork needs to be cleaned up/recreated. If you're unsure about file types then please send us what you do have.
What is your turnaround time?
From payment to delivery is about 2-3 weeks for standard free shipping. Rush delivery may be available depending on our workload at time of order.
I need my ink color(s) to be color matched, can you do that?
For an additional charge you can have your inks pantone color matched . Otherwise, we do our best to closely match print colors to your artwork colors based on how it's presented on screen.
Do you charge screen fees?
Our pricing structure includes screen fees. Pricing is per design. Artwork will be screen printed the same size/colors across all pieces. Screen fees may apply if artwork size/colors vary across printed pieces.
I need to reorder 5 shirts, how do reorders work?
You will need to meet the minimum order, based on your artwork and print locations. Please consider ordering extra shirts on your initial order to avoid having to pay a higher price.
When is payment due?
All orders need to be paid in full before we begin your order. We use PayPal invoicing, orders can be paid using a credit/debit card.
I want to have my design printed on an assortment of colors, can you do that?
Yes, but there is a minimum order of 6 pieces per color. $15 fee applies to screen printing ink color change, if changed.
Can I mix sweatshirts in with my t-shirt order?
Yes, but there is a minimum order of 6 pieces per style. Sizes can be mixed.
Where (locations) can you print on my clothing?
Front, back, left chest, right chest, upper/lower, side-seam, pockets, sleeves, etc. *Additional fees may apply if printing on pockets/sleeves.
